Information for business about the proposals
Thank you for visiting the business pages of the Greater Manchester Future Transport website.
Both before and during the public consultation about the Future Transport proposals, we actively engaged with the business community across Greater Manchester, and we are committed to further discussions as we move forward. Indeed, one of the four key tests that the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) has set for the proposals is that they should be acceptable to the general public and the business community.
These pages set out the work we have done to engage with business and contain information about how the package of transport proposals has changed in the light of consultation.
The brochure above, written specifically for business, is designed to update you on how the proposals have changed and has been posted to every company in Greater Manchester. The consultation feedback we received from business was invaluable and this led directly to some changes to the transport proposals being agreed by AGMA on October 31st. And this is also why, in addition to the public referendum in early December, the independent polling company MORI will shortly be surveying a representative sample of 1,000 local businesses across Greater Manchester.
We have produced an e-information pack about the revised proposals. This is a public resource available for use by anybody who would like more information about the TIF package. It has been designed to enable employers to pass information on to their staff. The e-information pack can be downloaded by clicking here:
