If you need to get to school, how will TIF help?

The TIF package will deliver 120 new buses in addition to 36 currently operating in Greater Manchester. These services will give parents who currently drive children to school across one of the potential charging rings a safe and secure alternative way to get their children to school.

Allocating TIF funding to these places will allow the roll out of an additional 170 school buses to other parts of the city-region over the next ten years bringing the total fleet to 326.

New TIF services

• 70 completely new services, where no direct bus route currently exists.
• 50 buses will replace existing conventional school services, improving the quality and safety of students’ journey to school.
